GfS Exit Control 179/1125 – Wireless Signal Transmission (868 Mhz)
The GfS Exit Control 179/1125 Wireless is used when a cable transition is not desired due to the required installation effort or aesthetics. When the GfS Exit Control 179/1125 is pressed down with the handle, it triggers a local alarm and also emits a wireless signal. This wireless signal is received by the GfS Wireless Alarm Light or a GfS Wireless Receiver.
The 2-channel wireless protocol allows the evaluation of two different alarm signals (e.g., emergency open and permanent open from one device or emergency open from two devices). The integrated wireless transmitter has a range of about 30 meters.
If the distance between the desired receiving device and the Exit Control 179/1125 is greater than 30 meters, or if structural conditions interfere with the unimpeded transmission of the signal, the use of a wireless repeater (amplifier) is necessary. This extends the range of the wireless signal by approximately 30 meters each time. The repeater is 3-fold cascading and can process up to 16 specified signals.
GfS Exit Control 179/1125 – Wireless Signal Transmission via FunkBUS
The GfS Exit Control 179/1125 Funk is used when wireless transmission of the alarm signal is desired. When the GfS Exit Control 179/1125 is pressed down with the handle, it triggers not only a local alarm but also a radio signal. This radio signal is received by the GfS Funk-BUS-Interface, which converts the signal and feeds it into the loop system. This way, larger distances can be managed and the installation of the GfS Exit Control 179/1125s can be done without interventions such as laying cables in the door. This is particularly helpful for retrofitting.
The integrated radio transmitter has a range of about 30 meters. Thus, the installation can also be easily accomplished on remote doors. If the distance between the transmitter and the receiver is more than 30 meters, or if structural conditions impair the interference-free transmission of the signal, the use of a radio repeater is possible. This repeater extends the range of the radio signal by about 30 meters each. The repeater is 3-fold cascading and can process up to 16 specified signals.
GfS Exit Control 179/1125 – Signal Transmission via BUS
All GfS Exit Control 179/1125 units are connected via the BUS line with any topology to the GfS SMARTDisplay.
The cable length must not exceed 1000 m. If the required cable length is greater, an additional power supply must be installed. The door guards are powered through the GfS SMARTDisplay.
