Signs
Under the Workplace Regulation 1.3 (ASR A 1.3), state occupational safety adopts the regulation of safety signage and simultaneously integrates the latest normative requirements from ISO 7010 and DIN 4844. Thus, ASR A 1.3 is decisive for all new equipment.
Existing markings according to BGV A8 do not automatically become invalid, but should be replaced in a timely manner in the spirit of a uniform signage philosophy. Our products are tested by accredited testing facilities according to DIN 67 510, meet all required DIN demands, and are suitable for safety signage according to BGV A8, DIN 4844. BGV A8 was originally the implementation of EU Directive 92/58 EEC and was decisive for safety signage in workplaces until the release of ASR A 1.3. The marking according to BGV A8 can still be used for supplementary signs (retrofitting). However, BGV A8 will be withdrawn shortly. Therefore, new construction projects should no longer be marked according to BGV A8.
Experience has shown that in cases of longer escape routes, indicating the direction of escape solely by arrows is not sufficient, therefore the course of the escape route must be supplemented by the respective escape sign. Escape signs should only be used in conjunction with the direction indication.
